nonatherosclerotic arterial disease: case 2

   

48 year old male with no history of diabetes or smoking who presents with ischemic changes in both feet (left > right).  The physical findings include discolored toes and cold feet.

Comment: This is a nice example of a popliteal artery aneurysm on angiography. The dilatation of the lumen is subtle on the LLE angiogram, but the actual appearance of the aneurysm is seen above diagrammatically. In addition, the tendency for bilateral popliteal artery aneurysms is seen in this patient as is the risk of distal embolization.
